Embracing the Art, Not Just the Science, of Coaching

My coaching philosophy has evolved since I first started coaching. Initially, I relied heavily on the science of coaching—specifically, using a prescribed process and the tools to support it (very transactional). I have since become more comfortable with the art of coaching. If the client is willing, we bring their humanity into the work, and this usually leads to a more transformational experience.
